Sick Day

by Amy on February 27, 2013

My blog has sadly been neglected this month. So much has been going on here at home, both personally and professionally!

Just to give you an idea what I’m talking about:

Graham completed his carpentry apprenticeship, wrote his Certificate of Qualification exam and passed with flying colors! We are celebrating this weekend with a little party at our place. I’m so proud of him! It has taken five and a half years for him to reach this goal of becoming a journeyman.

My new little business has been doing well. I’m really enjoying learning some new skills, meeting new people and pushing myself to do my best.

We have been trying to get Nate potty trained. It’s a slow process. He’d much rather play Angry Birds.

I had to make a tough choice at work this week, so I wrote about it for my column this week at Work it, Mom! I hope you’ll hop over to The 36-Hour Day to read Considering Marissa Mayers’ Memo and tell me what you would do if you worked from home for Yahoo!

Please watch out next week for my post on the Harmony Village Facebook page about my all-time favorite meal, Breakfast for Dinner. “Like” their page to keep this upcoming post in your sights.

As for today, I’m down with the mother of all head colds. I’ve been battling it for a few day but gave in to a full day of fluids and rest today. Thankfully Graham has been taking care of me, bringing me drinks and food and fixing the Netflix connection when it went down. I thought about showing you what I look like today but it ain’t a pretty picture. Instead, I’ll share my view from bed.
