Graham spends his days on a job site…a dirty, dusty, grimy job site. Naturally, he brings some of that job site home with him on a daily basis.
To help keep it out of the house, we store his work boots on the front porch. I use these antique-looking wooden crates as a boot storage cubby. Although the boots are visible to guests on the porch, the crates blend in, and they hide the boots from the view of passersby. Most importantly, the dust and dirt from the job site stays on the porch, where I can sweep or hose it down. There is a comfortable chair for him to sit in the morning when he laces up and when he gets home from work, too.
