Choosing a photo for today was a no-brainer…as soon as I picked Nate up at daycare I knew I wanted to get some pictures of him wearing his latest daycare creation: this fabulous, jewel-encrusted crown made complete with the scribbles of his own little hands. He was every bit as excited to show this to Graham when he got home from work. Nate’s excitement in this picture is evident as he looks at himself in the mirrored sliding doors of our hall closet. When I look at pictures like this one I am completely in awe over the fact that this child is mine, ours, that he was created by us and that we are so privileged to live with him and raise him to be a special member of our family. I just can’t get over it.
I can see I’m going to need a special box or scrapbook in which to store those of Nate’s artistic creations I just can’t part with (namely, all of them).
